The National Modular Housing Council is gearing up for the 2005 Best New Home Design Awards, and it promises to be the best year ever!

The Best New Home Design Awards program was developed as a way for member manufacturers to showcase their best new home designs, and recognize innovation and excellence in the industry.

In order to recognize homes that are currently being manufactured as well as homes that are still in the concept phase, modular manufacturers will have four categories to choose from. Please note that this year we have adjusted the square footage requirements for the categories. This was based on manufacturer input as well as a trend toward increasing home dimensions.

Production Categories
Modular Home Design 1800 square feet or less
Modular Home Design Over 1800 sqaure feet

Concept Categories
Modular Home Design 1800 square feet or less
Modular Home Design Over 1800 square feet

The competition is open to members only. You must complete the notification form and remit payment ($50 a submission) to the NMHC by January 15, 2005. All materials for each submission will be due by February 18, 2005.
